Brick X Brick is inspired by Queer Grit

Queer joy often a term highlighted amongst the community but it requires grit to uphold. Queer Joy was fought for and is fought for every day by the beautiful and resilient members of our community. Spreading queer joy is the ultimate act of resistance. Queer grit is the reason we are still here.

Grit means wiping the dirt off and smiling because you got back up. I believe the queer community expresses grit in ways the world needs to see now more than ever. We’re asking you to embrace this and choose to spread your light. Stand up, wipe the dirt off, and show grit even when the odds are stacked against you.
